"Planting Yarn Seeds
from the Deva gate"

Keidai Art in Genshoji-Temple
Obuse, Nagano pref.
16-17/4/2005

The art event "Keidai Art" is held at Genshoji-Temple, the Zen temple in Obuse, Nagano pref. every year. They also hold "Naeichi", the seed market, at the same time.
I had people living in this town or visitors to the temple go up to the Deva gate(see the picure above) and throw yarn balls to the ground. This action is the metaphor of planting seeds and yarn over the precincts are plants growing from the gate I named yarn balls "the seeds of art" and sold them as seed sellers did..
